(too old to reply)

I've got back an old Apple TV I'd lent my daughter, which is probably
not worth doing much with.

However, is it useful for anything? (bearing in mind my house is already
covered by newer HD and 4K Apple TVs).

I had wondered if it's possible to make it a reverse streaming box (i.e.
audio in and stream to Airplay), to connect to my turntable. Don't mind
if I have to jailbreak it to be honest, might even be a bit of fun to
have a try.

Of course I could sell it, CEX offer £15, but TBH, hardly worth the effort.

Any /useful/ suggestions?

it supports airplay and should still work for some streaming content.

I had my AppleTV 2 jailbroken for a while (with BlackB0x), but I can't
even remember why now. I certainly don't remember it being a lot more
useful afterwards.

Yeah, I’m not sure I’m going to bother much, I much even sell it to CEX,
they offer £15 for it.
