I've had airport express for a while

only just tried streaming music

wow.. awesome feature


(is there anyway of playing DVD audio or quicktime audio - is it just
iTunes?)




(plust still can get NOW internet to work with airport express over
PPoE.. ah well.. can't have everything)

Have a look at Airfoil from http://www.rogueamoeba.com. If it's
something you can play in VLC you can also stream it from VLC and open
the stream in iTunes and send that to the Airport. It's a bit of a
kludge but it does work - crap for movies/video though because of the
slight lag.

Have a look at Airfoil from http://www.rogueamoeba.com. If it's

the stream in iTunes and send that to the Airport. It's a bit of a

VLC can do an audio offset - rogue suggest 1500ms offset, but I
have never got it working!

I've had Now for quite a few months now, and until very recently it
worked flawlessly hooked up to my airport express, using PPPoE. However,
one night the connection died, and on its return, the airport could no
longer negotiate a PPPoE connection. The now broadband works fine
plugged directly into the mac via ethernet but that's rather
inconvenient for me.

I suspect Now may have sent a firmware update to the modems which has
done something to the PPPoE configuration, but no one at now seems to be
able to shed any light on the situation.
