Does anyone else use this? Over the last few months I've started having
problems, and they seem to be getting worse.

Problems include:
- Read states not carrying over into Google Reader. So when I go back
to Gruml on the desktop, things I've read are still shown as unread.

- Feeds showing an unread count on main home screen when all items are
fully read.

- Feeds just not showing up in the main interface at all. Their unread
articles are available in the All Unread section, but the feeds are
missing from the home screen so can't be individually selected.

Anyone else?

Cheers,
Ian

I get that particular problem with NNW on the Mac. I guess they're
sharing some code which isn't syncing quite properly to Google Reader.

I also get it on the Mac version if I mark all entries as read, then do
a refresh immediately afterwards - it brings back the same articles I've
marked as read. Seems to need a delay between marking them as read and
synching that info.

Not what you asked, but I can strongly, strongly recommend Reeder.

I've had quite a few sync problems with NNW on iPhone / iPad, but not
seen anything bad on mac client. There have been quite a few reports
of this on NNW discussion threads.

I expect that NNW will get updated to fix in due course.

But for now, Reeder works much better on both iPhone and iPad.

Byline is a good alternative on iPhone too (don't think there is an
iPad version).

I've been using it for a year or 2 on the mac and iphone. I get random
problems from time to time without changing a thing eg. ads start
appearing on my mac client (paid version), syncing problems, and now
today I'm getting an error saying netnewswire was unable to install the
esellerate engine!

I've emailed support and am waiting for help.

btw, It works fine on an account with admin rights.

I'm considering switching to an alternative but I need a mac & iphone
client. I don't think Reeder has both.

It doesn't, but if you link your feeds to Google Reeder then it syncs
anyway. I use Reeder on the iPhone now (switched from netnewswire) and
Gruml on the desktop, and they stay in sync.

Gruml's here if you're interested:

Great, thanks. Also, I just read that Reeder has a mac client coming very soon.
